Introduction

ACN Helicopters Limited (ACN) found its’ origin from the Rotary Wing Division of aerocontractors company of Nigeria Limited (aero www.flyaero.com ).

It is a well-known fact, that aero has offered airline services, aircraft management, air logistics support and charter services in Nigeria and the West African sub region for 60 years.

Fastest cruise speed and highest power to weight ratio in its category , providing offshore operators with best-in-class performance: a cruise speed of 165 knots / 306 kph, a max range of 675 nm/1250 km, endurance up to 6 hours and superior hover performance
Certified Cat. A Class 1 performance at Maximum Gross Weight (40°C at Sea Level), enabling Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) in confined areas and on uneven terrain
The only helicopter in its class to fully satisfy the latest FAR29 and AIROPS regulations, incorporating crashworthiness and survivability features, main gearbox up to 60 minute ‘dry-run’ capability
State-of-the-art avionics and large displays, together with the 4-axis digital autopilot with hover mode and full digital electronic engine control (FADEC) minimize pilot workload and optimize operational efficiency

INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIONS

The Company has established a strong collaboration with the prime manufacturer of offshore helicopters worldwide, Leonardo Helicopters (ex-Agusta Westland www.leonardocompany.com who are ready to support the Company’s operations, by ensuring immediate availability of all range of brand new helicopters. LH is also interested to qualify and appoint the Company as its Regional Maintenance Centre for Nigeria and West Africa.

HSE

Paramount importance is given to Human, Safety and Environmental policies. All operations are
managed and controlled by an electronic Safety Management System (SMS), a flight tracking
system and a flight data monitoring programme.

FLEET

Fleet experience is based on the long tradition of aero RW Division, which operated in the past up
to 30 helicopters.

This includes 15 years’ experience on Agusta Westland AW139, 34 years on Airbus AS365, 23
years on Sikorsky S76 and S72, 5 years on Airbus EC135, and 7 years on Agusta AW109. In 2016,
the fleet registered under aero’s AOC, was composed of 11 helicopters

CUSTOMERS

Before ACN Helicopter Services, aerocontractors was the first operator in the Oil & Gas charter
services, covering in the years the 70% of the market in Nigeria.

During its 60 years, the Company has served several IOCs and NOCs, including Agip, Addax,
Chevron, Texaco , Total/Tupni, Nnpc, Belbop- Conoil, Peak Petroleum Amni Afren, Star
Deepwater, Stat Oil, Nexen, Nlng, Brass Lng.

The Company aims to achieve new business with major IOCs, NOCs, Government Agencies and
international firms operating in Nigeria and West Africa, as a sole 100% indigenous helicopter
operator.
